First Indonesia President Exile House In Bengkulu

Actually this is not a museum but more resemble historic place for Indonesian independence. Long before I ever came to the exile house of the first president of Indonesia's , precisely when i was nine or ten years. My father was transferred by the office and our family was forced to participate, although eventually we return again to the land of Java. It may not a museum with dpzen of collection, but bung karno exile house give us chance to history learning about Indonesian first president.

Not much has changed from Bung Karno's exile house, everything was as before but there is a small change. This place seems to try to attract visitors by displaying wishing well, really embarrassing.

What's interesting about this exile house this is the diverse  relics from the first president of Indonesia, such as books, beds, clothes, photos and bicycles. It is not much to see but I am quite satisfied, the place is very well maintained and spacious yard looks very beautiful.

Perhaps if you visit bengkulu, the exile home of Bung Karno is a must to visit. You might feel a little glimps about Indonesia first president life .

Textile Museum Of Jakarta The Review

The first day of fasting, I decided  come to the museum with a house nearby. Not to mention whenever i'm  go home,  always passing by this museum because its next to tanah abang station. I came around 11am, so buy tickets at the counter for IDR 2,000. The counter guards immediately shocked. Later I knew why his  gave that kind a expression like " what the hell are youngster doing in this place?" you might notice about the name, yes textile museum the word to describe is 'just like art gallery' with fabric with historical value.

The collections inside contains dozen of fabric from all over Indonesia, actually its kind a cool that you can lear so many cultural trough piece of fabric. I have to give two tumbs up for the ways they display it, so elegant and couture yet rich of local estathic. Several of this textile fabric are 1 meter long and need half of room to display it. You also can read the description where it came and the main purpose using it like for weeding or other ceremonial things.

back of the museum

Although classified as a special collection for textile lovers! So only fabrics only. But the textile museum is clean and tidy, not to mention there is a cozy garden, just when I come many who are not opened. Such as batik workshop, souvenirs store and there are several buildings that I  have to open the door because of curiosity what its contents.

Batik Gallery

This is the main gallery for Indonesia tradisional fabric called batik. There enough pattern and type of batik to see inside it, eventough they display it in such narrow space and the actually building is a colonial dutch house than  restore from being abandone. Well, the entire textile museum building actually an colonial house from dutch occupation age. That why sometime i felt so bored in this museum, because it doesnt give me the chill, like other museum with huge bulding type.

The textile museum is quite good, since I was not so interested in the fabric plus Just me up like a zombie in a ghost town. Just last 30 minutes to enjoy the textile museum of Jakarta, if only there is a cafeteria or a place to hang out for sure I stay longer. The bright side Jakarta textile museum are inspiring place, quiet and cool totally suitable for writing.

Youth Pledge "Sumpah Pemuda" Museum The Review

I want to post this review from last week, but since the my internet quota has  draining up, so it can only rely on  wi-fi office. Last week i must survey area in priok south Jakarta  (the area is chaotic dusty and full factory), I manage sneak up to one of the lokal  museum in priok area, unfortunately only briefly.  The museum called “sumpah pemuda” or youth pledge, we can say that is an museum for Indonesian historical moment where all the nation youth, come together declared for they support in national goverment an independent day. So let see what this youth pledge museum could offer?

The shape is more like a  tradisional betawi house rather  an museum

all the walls attached vintage photographs. Maybe the people photographed it is that makes youth pledge.

A diorama of hearing youth pledge

behind the house there are statues of the people who make vows  of youth pledge, those pesky kids study tour blocking the view.

The original violin WR Soepratman I do not know her contribution in the youth pledge? (yes I was the picture of Indonesian youth today who do not know the history of the nation)

Vinly record  of Indonesian  national song , once again I do not know the relationship  beetwen the vinly record  and the  youth pledge?

I swear I do not know what this is? very similar to the  coffin

This is the relics of the people who had to do the  youth pledge.

Soory for the lack of picture quality, i took it with my out dated phone. Actually the youth pledge museum is great place, there's more behind it. But since I was in very little time, so did not get to the back, all this stuff make me  realized, that so many things. I do not know about the youth pledge.

Puppet Museum Indonesia The Review

Not far from the national museum and is still one area in the old town there is a museum that is dedicated to a local art museum museum of puppets as the name suggests are just 500 meters from the museum's history jakarta save thousands collection of puppets from all over Indonesia.

Museum adjacent to the cafe this batavia original still a Dutch heritage, but still I pity of this place  layout. The shape of the interior arrangement guns is so out of good, the bottom filled with marionettes and shadow puppets and then through the park as in the picture above and next to the kitchen and the bathroom there are stairs to the upper chamber.

Some Collections contained in basement
Seriously foe pitung VOC figures are using that in this Betawi puppet freakin scary !!! how similar this clay puppet with a human face and I looked at them in the building stuffy, humid and Dutch heritage.

The top floor is much more interesting puppet museum display arrangement is more charming and beautiful, not to mention the top floor is also in store a variety of puppet that is not only of Java and Indonesia and somehow upper floor is cleaner than the lower floor, if I may be honest I think the bottom floor better dispensed replaced it with a cafe or a larger souvenirs store.

Collection Upper Floor

Collection upstairs is much more striking, here we can see a variety of dolls from various countries such as India, China, France and Russia unfortunately this collection in place on the top floor of the corner.

 Diamond Room
Diamond room located just below the stairs to the floor next to the kitchen and toilet "wonder why", this room is not open to just anyone, because it saved the most valuable collections of the museum, for example the most expensive leather puppets are decorated by diamonds and other rare artifacts . Lucky, I can freely see the room diamond and precious collections.

Diamond Room Collection
Blencong or oil lamps were formerly in use as lighting for staging puppet skin has aged 200 years and there are only two in the world, this blencong rarest collections of museums and old so do not put out but unfortunately also if not seen by many people. Perhaps the reason why the security becomes a major factor riveting collection like this can not take just anyone.

Overall I feel much more satisfied all the puppet museum of the national museum jakarta, more that can be viewed and much better. Fixed I think the puppet museum needs a new building or a better arrangement, this place makes oath horrified if we go alone. Imagine entering an old building and dark eyes stared at hundreds of puppets.

Fatahillah Museum Jakarta The Review

The historical  fatahillah museum in located in kota tua (old city) area, despite the many years of living in  Jakarta . Frankly, this is  the first time i stepping in the history museum  of  Jakarta, strangely i knew the old city area for along time but never new there a museum on it. Due my lack knowledge of this city mapping.

Jakarta museum has an extensive garden in front, where you can selfies, play kites  even here there is also a bike rental place. Unfortunatelybad management front make garden  looks shabby and kind a dirty, but many foreign tourists who come took a picture, they often sit back and rent bicycle. Not only slum children were milling about the streets and thugs, here i kind a worried holding the camera.

Turning inside the museum there many relics of the true VOC era, this place is the home of a VOC governor, you will notice Hermes statue located in the middle of this park. Indeed this grerek stuf is fatahillah museum collections eventough the mortar mix is the greek god Hermes and had nothing to do with the history of the VOC, but this statue is a gift to Dutch goverment by maestro of Italian  DaVinci.

This two-level museum exibith many paintings that unfortunately there is no detailed explanation of who they are, and the condition is dusty, look like someone neverbeen clean it. In addition to painting the second floor also contains a lot of furniture heritage of the Dutch goverment, the arrangement displays these items seem perfunctory even wood floors are perforated and porous many very worrying safety. Many are only given string and paper with text forbidden to occupy.

In addition to the many relics of Dutch goverment furniture, some inscriptions were placed on the bottom floor. While on the outside of the park I was interested to see the dungeon in which many human chain in brackets, but I canceled the intention to take pictures inside because in addition to shortness of this dungeon smell of urine and feces of rats.

The last i can write is very sad how local goverment take care of this museum, admission is not much but that's no reason to make this Jakarta icon becomes dull, dirty and rundown. If they put the museum into the government budget but why look like a neglected huh? Where the capital of the department of tourism? invisible near future ?.
